House Bill 515, signed by Gov. Abigail Spanberger on April 13, 2026, strips the Virginia Lottery’s authority to approve credit cards as a sports betting deposit method. The law takes effect July 1, 2026, ending credit card deposits at the state’s licensed online sportsbooks.
